Thailand!

Having left the land of down under, we arrived in Bangkok. After experiencing the sheer joy of the weekend markets, which is in every sense of the word, shoppers heaven! Bangkok despite the sometimes conflicting reports is great. We really enjoyed it, finding your way can sometimes be abit tricky but its a fascinating city.

After Bangkok we headed up to Kanchanburi, where we visited the tiger temple. A refugee where monks raise tiger cubs that have been orphaned by poachers. We got to pet grown up tigers, which was both amazing and a little scary!

Next we headed south to meet up with karen and lucy (friends from brighton) who came to join us for two weeks of fun in the sun. Spent the two weeks with them travelling round the south, and enjoying all the islands. Highlights included snorkelling in ko tao, surviving journeys in death cabs, cockroach attacks, and partying at the full moon party! In two short weeks we managed to go to phuket (not recommended!), phi phi (stunning), ko lanta (very cool), krabi, ko tao (personal fav), ko phangan and suritthani. Phew busy time!

Have bid them a sad goodbye now, and me and nat have returned to bangkok in order to travel across to cambodia.

2007!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! to you all, hope you all had a good one. Me and nat are due to fly out thailand tomorrow morning, we left the farm this morn :0(. Had a brillant time there, where we have learnt how to milk a goat, drive a tractor, bottle feed lambs, and how to tame a piglet (you don't put it down until it stops screaming!) We were lucky enough to witness a calf being born on xmas eve (we named it buddy the elf!) and also 15 new piglets born on new years day! Plenty of cute animals around to have our affection.

Bit sad to say goodbye to homemade food, but don't think our bellys can't take anymore!

We had a hard working new years, as we spent the whole weekend working, to keep the drunk masses full of fast food! We did both manage to get basement jaxx off though, so we did get to boogie!

Will write again in asia, until then its so long oz!

Landing on our feet.

Well me and nat have resolved our money issues (hopefully) we will be spending xmas working on a farm! Very excited working there for accomodation and food, and we will be looking after the animals and doing whatever needs really. Nat will get her wish to hold a lamb! Can't wait, but does mean we probably wont be emailing for a couple of weeks as not sure we will have internet access there. We start there on saturday. At the moment we are currently staying with friends from NZ in St Kilda, a really cool part of Melbourne.

Also we have managed to score jobs working at a new year festival for four days, which we are stupidly excited about. We get free ticket to the 3 day festival (have to work 8 hours a day), free food and camping, and we get paid cash!!! oh yea! plus basement jaxx are headlining the first day. We will be working in a food van. Our hosts on the farm are letting us off for the weekend to do it. Suffice to say we are .... like well happy bout it! If anyone wants to see where we will be its: www.fallsfestival.com

Wishing you all a happy xmas, and will write again in the new year!
Lots of love
Nat and Fuzz xxxx

Melbourne

We reluctantly dragged our arses out of our life of luxery and left richies place to continue on down the east coast, and resume life in a tent! We spent 5 days in Byron Bay which is hippy heaven, loved it alot espicially since it reminded us of brighton (just with a slightly better beach!). From byron we had a stop over in coffs harbour, where the highlight (in the loosest sense of the word) of the town is a giant banana statue (not impressed), wasn't really worth the two hour hike to it.

From coffs we went to sydney to once again enjoy city living. Definate highlights was the free pancakes we got for brekkie at our hostel! Did all the main tourist things in sydney, took the obligatory pics of sydney opera house and the harbour bridge. Not to sure what all the excitment about the bridge is about, Ive seen better! Really enjoyed sydney, its actually a really nice city, what london would be like if it was cleaner!

From sydney we have travelled to Melbourne where we will be staying for the next month. Have yet to sort out our plans so watch this space for how we are gonna keep ourselves entertained and living with no money left... its ok parentals we have a plan....... XXX

A Heartfelt Message To You All.

Australia!

From Fiji we flew to Brisbane- where wer were to discover that they decided to leave our backpacks in NZ (apparently they didn't want to leave either!) due to this they gave us $100 each - bargin! Decided we'd use this money wisley and by a flight up to Cairns, which meant we ended up getting three flights in one day- a record for me so far! Arriving at the airport at midnight we stayed there and safe to say our first night on australian soil was freezing as the air con. was so high!
Spent a week in cairnss sorting ourselves out etc. Lovely place with the best artificial lagoon i've ever seen!!! The main thing we noticed is that everyone is bronzed and beautiful!!Def. makes you suck in your stomach at all times!
From cairns we travelled to townsville and over to magnetic island- the bumpiest ferry crossing i've ever been on- think the driver had somewhere else to be!! Beautiful little island and good camping ground- oh yeah we've bought a tent to save on finances- Fuzz made us decorate it accordingly! So we now have a tent with brighton written on it! Home away from home and all that!
Next was our Whitsundays sailing trip which was fantastic fun! A great group of people and brilliant stop offs on the way! Sleeping was a little tricky what with all the swaying but hey we got through it!
After this it was time for our next prepaid trip- Fraser island- which is the largest sand island in the world! Got a self drive deal so we grouped up with 9 other people to drive around th eisland for 3 days! Have to admit driving on sand was sometime a little scary and i managed to fly off a shelf of a creek at some point- but every one escaped unharmed! 2 cars from our hostel went at the same time so the 22 of us stuck together for the whole trip- once again it was mainly english people! Great time including games of light night football and reverting to playground games like stuck in the mud and duck duck goose!( Fuzz was to thank for these bad boys!)
Now we're on the gold coast staying with a friend of ours from queenstown- it's nice to be in a proper house and bed for a change! Richie took us out to surf today and safe to say i couldn't even get balanced lying down let alone standing up! but was great fun all the same.
Right that's it for now! Hope everyone is well!
Nat

Fiji

Hey, once again have been bad at updating so gonna try and get better! Me and nat spent 8 days in fiji, just outside of Nadi. Being quite poor after our exploits in New Zealand, we decided to have a cheap week. Managed to spend a whole week lying by the hostel pool, living on the free brekkie and fruit from the local markets. (which was a bargin), we decided the week was a success as we managed to avoid getting too sunburnt! We treated ourselves to one day trip over to MalaMala island, which was gorgous. Lots of fab snorkelling, free beer and food, and wonderful weather. Do you hate us yet?!

Rich made us Stir fry tonight and it was just lovley! Doing the glacier walk that Fuzz has already done tomorrow - gonna be pissing it down but hey! what can you do eh? Apparently it rains something stupid like 280 days a year on the west coast!

Overdue Update!

Realise we have been abit rubbish at update this lately, guess when your not travelling around you feel like you don't have as much to say! Anyway as a quick update, I (fuzz) have left Queenstown and me and nat are currently on a trial seperation, (hoping to avoid a divorce!). My job at the mountain finished so I decided to travel with some friends from work for a while, Nat has stayed to continue working for a couple more weeks. Saying goodbye to our home of four months was strange, had to live the comfort zone of friends and a house. Had an awesome time in Queenstown but have to continue on with the trip now, or I'd end up staying there for the whole year!

Road trip was alot of fun, spent too much, drunk too much the normal story! Went along the west coast which is the most scenic drive I've ever done, stunning! Got to do an 8 hour glacier hike which was an experience. After that headed to the north island, spend a few days in wellington which is a wicked city, before we all headed our seperate ways. I am currently in Raglan which is right on the beach at the top of the north island. Have got work in a hostel so just planning to chill out here, and maybe learn to surf!

Thats it for now, will try and update more often once me and nat start travelling again. Will be in fiji on nov 2nd. Luv Fuzz XX

An intro to our current home.

This is the view from my room, as of today me and nat are now housies again. She has joined the house of 14 roommates and therefore will save a small fortune in taxi fares!

Our house, complete with a few of the many housies, but they are all lovely so can't complain! even if it means the washing up is
never done! (what else is new?!)

The girls of the house, out on a naturally sober and calm evening out......

This is what queenstown looks like in july! which for all you crazy europe types will seem quite surreal during your current heatwave/drought summer. The wierd thing is how fast the snow goes away, this pic was after it snowed ALL day and it took about a morning for it all to go away again.

This is a pic from my journey to work, its a hard life...! For the sake of balance, remember I get up at half six in the morning to make this trip! and get paid about four pounds an hour.

Snow bunnies! Perks of the jobs include the possibility of causing yourself more bruisies than you could ever imagine. No pain no gain right?! This pic is one of the rare moments I'm actually upright on the board! :0)
