An intro to our current home.

This is the view from my room, as of today me and nat are now housies again. She has joined the house of 14 roommates and therefore will save a small fortune in taxi fares!

never done! (what else is new?!)

This is what queenstown looks like in july! which for all you crazy europe types will seem quite surreal during your current heatwave/drought summer. The wierd thing is how fast the snow goes away, this pic was after it snowed ALL day and it took about a morning for it all to go away again.




This is a pic from my journey to work, its a hard life...! For the sake of balance, remember I get up at half six in the morning to make this trip! and get paid about four pounds an hour.








Snow bunnies! Perks of the jobs include the possibility of causing yourself more bruisies than you could ever imagine. No pain no gain right?! This pic is one of the rare moments I'm actually upright on the board! :0)

Queenstown Update

Hey,

Realise we have been bad at updating the blog recently, guess since we aren't travelling round feels like we have less news to tell. But though I better post an update. Me and nat have both got houses in queenstown now, I live with in a house of 12 people which sounds like too many but its actually alot of fun. Always someone to have a beer with! Nat is living in a beautiful house with a family, but she has definatly got the plusher pad, even though its up a big hill!

Nat is currently working an admin job and a bar job in a place called Winnies, which is a pizza resturant and bar, shes loving it! Very cool bar, even though they don't have proper pint glasses!

I have been working as a housekeeper in a hotel, not very glamerous work but at least it has given me some money! Am currently working my weeks notice as start a cafe job up the mountain this weekend, which i'm very excited about. It means a free ski pass, so can now afford to learn to board! can now become a ski bunny! :0)

We are both loving queenstown, its a very cool place (not least cause its the middle of winter! brrrr) lots of bars and clubs to keep us entertained, and as the ski season has kicked off its a busy place. Have taken up frisbee golf as our new sport, they have a frisbee golf course, though its been abit cold for it recently. Have also discovered the best hot chocolate ever, from a cafe in town, and in this weather you need it. Hoping for enough snow to make a snowman.. watch this space.
